About:
A global education company that creates learning solutions from textbooks and digital platforms to assessments and adaptive learning tools, for K-12, higher education, and professional markets. Their mission is to guide you along the path to unlock your potential, no matter where your starting point may be.

What began as a contract role grew into a full-time position where I contributed across nearly every area of the marketing toolkit; tradeshow graphics, brochures, booklets, flyers, digital ads, and animations, all while ensuring strict adherence to corporate brand guidelines.
My favorite projects? The illustration work I completed at McGraw Hill. I’m especially proud of the collaborative efforts with fellow designers to establish a bold, new master brand style that broke away from expected visuals, while also building fresh, versatile components to expand their portfolio asset library. These initiatives were grounded in training and implementation of diversity and inclusion considerations, ensuring the work reflected and respected a wide range of voices and perspectives.

Creative Strategy
McGraw Hill is a trusted name in education. The goal was to evolve their marketing materials so they felt as forward-thinking as the company’s learning technology, while still honoring its credibility and heritage.
The approach began with versatility. As a marketing designer, I created assets that could perform across multiple channels and formats. Each piece was designed not just to inform, but to capture attention in the education industry.
By combining adaptability, design consistency, and visual innovation, the strategy elevated McGraw Hill’s presence in both physical and digital spaces. Our work positioned the brand as an industry leader in educational content and creative expression.

Across the Board
Here’s a glimpse into the range of creative work completed.

Brand Illustration
Working side by side with fellow designers, we went through rounds of exploration and iteration; sharing sketches, building moodboards, testing directions, and gathering feedback to refine an illustration style that was both distinctive and versatile. The result was a system that felt unique to McGraw Hill while remaining flexible enough to adapt across campaigns, formats, and audiences.
One of the most interesting aspects of the style was our intentional use of line tangents. While sometimes avoided for being visually distracting, we embraced them and used their intersections to create unexpected shapes and new layers of visual interest. This choice gave the system a distinctive edge while reinforcing its adaptability.
Print Design
From brochures and booklets to flyers and tradeshow collateral, I designed print pieces that balanced clear communication with complementary visuals to bring McGraw Hill’s brand to life in tangible form.

Digital Work
I created digital ads, website elements, social graphics, and animations designed to capture attention quickly, communicate clearly, and keep McGraw Hill’s brand consistent across every platform.
Asset Expansion
To keep McGraw Hill’s visuals consistent and scalable, I helped build out a library of branded illustration assets. This meant creating a system of adaptable elements—icons, patterns, textures, and spot illustrations—that could be pulled into campaigns, collateral, and product launches. By expanding the library over time, we gave the brand a versatile toolkit that ensured efficiency for the design team while maintaining a cohesive, recognizable look across every channel.

Storyboarding
I helped bring motion projects to life by sketching storyboards, mapping out visual sequences, and collaborating with the team to refine concepts. This process ensured that every video was clear, engaging, and aligned with McGraw Hill’s brand story from the very first frame.
